A Healthy Way To Lose Weight: “The Kind Diet” Get Skinny & Burn Fat Book Review

[I:http://www.uniquearticlewizard.com/extras/pics/webwealthythumb0.jpg] Is “The Kind Diet” just another rehashed “healthy way to lose weight burn fat book?” I think this book is different with a lot of great solid content. Being endorsed strongly from the medical community gives it a great level of credibility. Just reading the credentials of the person who gives the foreword in the book is like reading a who’s who in the field of Medicine.

Neal Barnard M.D., does the honors of giving the foreword in “The Kind Diet”. Dr. Barnard has the distinction of being the president of The Cancer Project, a nonprofit organization advancing cancer prevention and survival through nutrition, education and research. He is the author of dozens of publications in scientific and medical journals as well as numerous nutrition books for lay readers.

Dr. Barnhard endorses Silverstone’s lose weight burn fat diet plan with flying colors. What he endorses goes far beyond just a book about a healthy way to lose weight. It is a concept that includes helping the world’s environment, feeding the hungry, and even reducing sickness and disease in the world. I highly recommend a read of it, however, there is one issue that came across as I read this book that I did not fully agree with.

The one issue I have with the author’s veiwpoint is on the fact that eating meat is a no-no. That is, if you are going to be totally true to the “Kind Diet” way. Silverstone advocates that if it doesn’t grow out of the ground you should not eat it. This includes abstaining from dishes that include white meat chicken breast or having any kind of seafood. Not even an occasional baked salmon would be considered as part of the the meal plan for someone true to the ideal Kind Diet life style.

What I struggled with during my read of “The Kind Diet” was not the validity behind the idea of abstinence from meat for better health. In fact, I agree this can most certainly be a healthy way to lose weight and burn fat. As suggested by the author, however, one of the several reasons we should not indulge in eating meat is for philosophical reasons. That’s were I differ in viewpoint.

As much as I agree with this author on many points, I have to say that I beg to differ on the moral issue of eating meat and have expressed my opinion in a blog article. The Kind Diet is certainly a healthy way to lose weight, burn fat and feel better. I strongly recommend to my blog readers you all get “The Kind Diet” if for nothing else but the delicious, weight loss, fat burning, health enhancing recipes in the back of the book.

There is no doubt in my mind The Kind Diet’s extreme approach will help many people experience a healthy way to lose weight and burn fat but hopefully without a guilt trip for having an occasional burger or barbecue.
